I have put a lot of mornings in to my lie down hide at the local wader scrapes. There are many morning when nothing comes close, but some days I get lucky. The colours in the water are lovely until about 10:00 hours if there is no breeze to create ripples. All taken with the Canon EOS 1dX and the 800mm F5.6 lens.

I was in my lie down wader hide waiting for something to come close when a flock of Canada geese dropped in. Not of any interest normally, but when you are low down at water level and they start to bath you know it will finish with a mighty wing stretch and flap that will look dramatic from that angle. Canon EOS 1dX. 800mm lens. 1600 iso. 1/100oth at f8.
