African lion, Panthera leo, single female backlit, South Africa, August 2016. Taken pre-dawn at the Zimanga Game Reserve. I started shooting at 6400 iso, but once the cat was a silhouette a more seasonable 1600 iso was possible. 1/800th at f4.5. Canon EOS 7d Mk2 and the 100-400mm lens at 100mm.
